LOWELL, Mass. – Five different Wildcats scored as the University of New Hampshire men's soccer team clinched an America East playoff berth in its 5-0 victory over UMass Lowell on Thursday evening from Cushing Field Complex.

Graduate student Joseba Incera (Santurtzi, Spain) and sophomore goalkeeper Erik Lauta (Aptos, California) combined for a shutout in the contest.

The Wildcats improve to 10-1-4 (3-0-3 AE), while the River Hawks fall to 2-10-3 (0-6 AE)

UP NEXT:

UNH is back in action on Tuesday, Oct. 31, when the Wildcats welcome Vermont at 6 p.m for the last regular season game.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The 'Cats took an early 1-0 lead when sophomore midfielder Taig Healy (South Hampton, N.H.) found the back of the net in the second minute (1:20). Bright notched an assist on the goal with a beautiful pass right to Healy at the top of the box.

Junior forward Ibrahim Conde (Montreal, Quebec) buried a shot from the left side of the net and buried it to the right side in the 44^th minute (43:45) giving UNH a 2-0 lead.

Graduate student midfielder Atila Ashrafi (Cologne, Germany) intercepted a River Hawk clear attempt and capitalized with a rocket from outside the box in the 73^rd minute (72:25).

The Wildcats extended the lead to 4-0 when graduate student Iñaki Rodriquez (Santiago, Chile) chipped a shot to the top right corner of the net from the top of the box in the 79^th minute (78:13).

Graduate student forward Georgios Koliniatis (Athens, Greece) dribbled the ball out of traffic, spun around and riffled a shot on net in the 83^rd minute (82:09) that ricocheted off the left post and went in capping the UNH 5-0 lead.
