DURHAM, N.H. – Junior captain Max Brosmer (Roswell, Ga.) threw three touchdown passes and scored a rushing touchdown to lead the 24th-ranked University of New Hampshire football team to Saturday afternoon's 38-31 win against UAlbany at Wildcat Stadium on Homecoming.

With the win, UNH improves to 3-3 overall (1-2 CAA), while UAlbany falls to 4-3 overall (2-1 CAA).

Brosmer completed 29-of-49 attempts for 342 yards. Grad student wide receiver Logan Tomlinson (Manchester, Conn.) caught nine passes for 144 yards which included two touchdowns. Senior captain Dylan Laube (Westhampton, N.Y.) rushed for 85 yards on 19 attempts with a TD.

Defensively sophomore Brendan Tighe (Lowell, Mass.) and junior Noah Palm (Reinholds, Pa.) each had an interception on the day. Junior Josiah Silver (Hampton, Va.) recorded three solo sacks and six total tackles, while junior Ryan Toscano (Bedford, N.H.) led the Wildcats with nine total tackles.

UAlbany quarterback Reese Poffenbarger went 23-for-39 in the air for 373 yards and four touchdowns. Julian Hicks and Brevin Easton each caught two TDs. Dylan Kelley led all players with 11 total tackles.

FIRST QUARTER

After UNH forced UAlbany to punt on its opening drive, the Wildcats drove 65 yards on eight plays capped off by a two-yard rush by Brosmer for the first touchdown of the day. Sophomore Nick Mazzie (Boxford, Mass.) kicked the PAT to give the 'Cats a 7-0 lead at 9:32.
Palm recorded his first career interception at 6:03 of the first quarter, but the Wildcats turned the ball over on downs on the UAlbany 30 yard-line.
The Great Danes then went on a five-play, 70-yard drive that took 2:28 off the clock to tie the game at 7-7. Poffenbarger threw a 50-yard TD pass to Easton.

SECOND QUARTER

Brosmer connected with Tomlinson on a 19-yard pass play to cap a 10-play, 80-yard drive that lasted 3:50.
UAlbany responded immediately with a 75-yard TD pass from Poffenberger to Hicks to tie the contest at 14-14.
The Great Danes took a 17-14 lead to the half with a 26-yard field goal by John Opalko.

THIRD QUARTER

UAlbany increased its lead to 24-14 when Poffenbarger completed a 38-yard pass to Easton at 11:29 of the third quarter.
The Wildcats then went on a 13-play, 67-yard drive which concluded with a five-yard TD rush by Laube with 5:45 left in the third quarter to cut the deficit to 24-21.
Mazzie tied the contest at 24-24 on a 25-yard field goal with 3:03 remaining in the third quarter.
After forcing the Great Danes to punt, Brosmer sent a 53-yard touchdown pass to Tomlinson at 1:11 on the clock to take a 31-24 advantage.

FOURTH QUARTER

But UAlbany then drove the ball 75 yards on six plays as Poffenbarger posted a 32-yard TD pass to Hicks to tie the game at 31-31 with 13:48 remaining.
Starting on their own 43-yard line with 10:42 on the clock, the Wildcats went on a game-winning 57-yard drive on 10 plays which was capped off by a six-yard TD pass by Brosmer to redshirt freshman Colby Ramshaw (Londonderry, N.H.) to go up 38-31 with 7:08 left.
The Wildcats clinched the win, when Tighe intercepted a pass by Poffenbarger with just 32 seconds left.

GAME NOTEBOOK

UNH had a 435-414 edge in total yards.
UNH recorded two takeaways and committed just one giveaway.

UNH improved to 2-1 at home this season. Starting in 2008, UNH has a 68-17 home record (.800 win percentage) in Durham, which includes 47-12 (.797) against CAA conference teams.
Tighe posted his second career interception while it was the first for Palm.
