FIRST QUARTER
- Junior Nate Kapongo (Westbrook, Maine/one tackle) blocked Spencer Biscoe's 36-yard field goal attempt to stifle Stony Brook's game-opening drive. Senior Derek Thompson (Bear, Del./one tackle) scooped the ball up and returned it 23 yards to the Wildcat 47-yard line at 13:27.
- Three players later, facing a 3rd-and-11 from the 46, Brosmer connected with Corcoran for a 54-yard touchdown pass and a 7-0 lead following the PAT from sophomore Nick Mazzie (Boxford, Mass.) at 11:57.
- A seven-yard TD rush from Stony Brook's Roland Dempster (eight rushes, 24 yards, TD) tied the game, 7-7, at 9:12.
- Mazzie's 44-yard field goal allowed the Wildcats to reclaim the lead, 10-7, at 4:34.
SECOND QUARTER
- The Wildcats increased their lead to 17-7 courtesy of a methodical 10-play, 75-yard drive punctuated by Brosmer's five-yard touchdown pass to redshirt freshman Colby Ramshaw (Londonderry, N.H./two receptions, 10 yards, TD) at 12:37.
- The tight end scored his third TD of the season and second in as many weeks.
- The drive included three catches for 46 yards for senior tight end Kyle Lepkowski (Adamstown, Md./five receptions, 65 yards).
- Brosmer's third TD pass of the half was a 23-yard hookup with Laube to increase the lead to 24-7 at 8:48.
- SBU had an emphatic response on its next drive. On 3rd-and-14 from its own 2-yard line, Casey Case (18-for-29, 255 yards, TD) completed a flat pass to Jayce Freeman (two catches, 115 yards, TD). Freeman appeared dead to the rights, but once he broke a tackle he raced for a school-record 98-yard TD that trimmed the Wildcats' lead to 24-14 at 7:05.
- The Seawolves' next drive was halted when Garron strip-sacked Case and recovered the fumble at the SBU 45.
- UNH parlayed the turnover into another touchdown when Brosmer executed a fake field goal and scored on a nine-yard rush to the left pylon for a 31-14 lead with 24 seconds remaining in the half.
