'Cats fall on the road at UAlbany, 70-65 on Saturday afternoon

Jayden Martinez registered a team-high 21 points in the loss on Saturday for UNH
ALBANY, N.Y. -- The University of New Hampshire men's basketball team fell in a 70-65 road decision at UAlbany on Saturday afternoon in America East play at SEFCU Arena.
The Wildcats fall to 12-12 overall (7-8 AE) , while the Great Danes up their record to 12-15 overall (8-7 AE).
Senior forward Jayden Martinez (Cibolo, Texas) notched a team-high 21 points (7-15 FG), while classmate Nick Guadarrama (Newington, Conn.) registered 17 points on 6-of-12 shooting with seven rebounds and five assists in a solid all-around effort.
Both teams shot 47% from the field for the game, while UNH owned a decided 34-24 advantage in points in the paint.
UNH trailed the Great Danes, 33-32 at halftime.
UAlbany was led by Jamel Horton with a game-high 24 points in the victory for the Great Danes.
UNH returns to action on Wednesday, February 23 at NJIT. Game time from the NJIT Wellness and Events Center is 7 p.m. on ESPN+.
