Wildcats take down Binghamton, 69-60 on the road in AE play

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. – Sophomore guard Blondeau Tchoukuiegno (Montreal, Que.) scored 18 points and senior forward Jayden Martinez (Cibolo, Texas) added 17 to lead the University of New Hampshire men's basketball team to a key America East road win, 69-60, at Binghamton on Saturday afternoon.
The Wildcats improved to 11-10 overall and 6-6 in league play. Binghamton dropped to 10-12 and 7-6 in America East.
UNH won its second straight road contest and now returns to Lundholm Gymnasium for a pair of games. The Wildcats face UMBC on Monday at 4 p.m. and play league-leading Vermont at home Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Martinez had nine rebounds to lead all players and Tchoukuiegno had six rebounds and made all four of his foul shots.
The two Wildcats came up huge for the Wildcats in the second half.
With UNH trailing 36-33 early in the second, Martinez and Tchoukuiegno scored all the points in an 11-0 run that put their team on top for good. Between them Martinez and Tchoukuiegno scored 24 of UNH's first 26 points in the half with each getting a dozen.
Sophomore guard Marco Foster (Chicago, Ill.) had 11 points for UNH and Nick Johnson (Bronx, N.Y.), another sophomore guard, had nine points and eight rebounds and also blocked four shots.
Senior forward Nick Guadarrama (Newington, Conn.), who had missed the last two games with an injury, had eight points with five rebounds, four assists and a pair of blocked shots.
The Wildcats outrebounded the Bearcats 43-33.
Jacob Falko scored 13 points and John McGriff had 11 for Binghamton.
