'Cats Fall to St. John's on the Road Saturday Night, 64-51 in Non-Conference Play

QUEENS, N.Y. -- The University of New Hampshire men's basketball team fell to St. John's on Saturday night, 64-51 at Carnesecca Arena in non-conference action.
The Wildcats fall to 3-6 overall on the year, while the Red Storm improve to 10-1 overall with the victory.
Graduate student guard Matt Herasme (Chester, N.Y.) led the way offensively for the Wildcats with 14 points on 6-of-11 from the field and 10 rebounds for his second double-double of the season. Junior forward Clarence Daniels (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) added 11 points and 11 rebounds for his team-leading sixth double-double of the season.
Freshman forward Ridvan Tutic (Novi Pazar, Serbia) notched 10 points (4-6 FG) to go along with seven rebounds in the losing effort.
The 'Cats trailed by just three points at halftime, 25-22.
Joel Soriano totaled 14 points and 14 rebounds in the victory for St. Johns, while David Jones added 20 points and 12 boards for the Red Storm.
St. John's narrowly won the battle in the paint by a 30-28 score.
UNH returns to action on Monday, December 12 against Saint Joseph's (ME). Game time from Lundholm Gymnasium on ESPN+ is 7 p.m.
