Wildcat alpine skiers named to EISA All-East Second Team
MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – University of New Hampshire women's alpine skier Emma Woodhouse(Collingwood, Ontario) earned the EISA's season slalom-points leader bib and was tabbed to the EISA All-East Second Team, and men's alpine skier Patrick Kenney(Hingham, Mass.) was tabbed to the All-East Second Team to headline UNH award recipients announced Monday by the Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association.
Woodhouse, a senior captain, earned 425 slalom points through the six carnivals during the EISA season, highlighted by her SL victory at the Harvard Carnival (Jan. 17) and consecutive runner-up finishes at the Colby Carnival (Feb. 1) and Bates Carnival (Feb. 7). In Best-2-Overall, the native of Collingwood, Ontario, ranked sixth (242 points).
Patrick Kenney earned a berth on the All-East Second Team
Kenney was ranked ninth in Best-2-Overall (218 points). The Hingham, Mass., native registered a No. 3 rank in Best-2-Giant Slalom (160 points), including a GS victory at the season-opening Harvard Carnival on Jan. 18.
Later this week, Woodhouse and Kenney are expected to be among a select number of Wildcats chosen to compete at the 2020 NCAA Ski Championships, hosted by Montana State University, on March 11-14.
