UNH and Hartford rematch a tight 72-71 contest from January.

DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire women's basketball team heads to West Hartford, Connecticut to wrap up the season series with the Hartford Hawks this Wednesday, February 19 at 7 P.M.

The Wildcats are coming off a home win over UMBC this past Saturday by a score of 56-51; the first meeting of the Wildcats and the Hawks this season was also in Lundholm Gym, with a buzzer-beating Wildcat victory by a score of 72-71.

UP NEXT: The Wildcats have just two home games remaining in the 2019-2020 regular season; next Saturday they return home from Hartford to host UAlbany for Senior Day on February 22. They wrap up the home slate with their second to last game of the regular season, hosting Maine in the Border Battle presented by Buffalo Wild Wings on Wednesday, February 26 at 6 P.M. LAST TIME OUT:

Ashley Storey (Cumberland, Maine) recorded a game-high 18 points and pulled down a team-high seven rebounds to lead the University of New Hampshire women's basketball team to Saturday afternoon's 56-51 win against UMBC at Lundholm Gym.
Storey made 7 of 16 field goal attempts, including 2-for-3 from 3-point range, and hit a pair of free throws with two seconds remaining to secure the victory. Her other stats included two blocks and two assists.
Amanda Torres (Hudson, N.H) was a perfect 7 of 7 at the foul line and finished with 15 points. Torres also had five rebounds, four steals and three assists. Caroline Soucy (Beverly, Mass.) finished with 12 points and three rebounds.
Helena Delaruelle (Enghien-les-Bains, France) was credited with eight assists and that matched UMBC's team total.
Maggie Ahearn (Marshfield, Mass.) finished with a career-high four blocks; her previous personal best was one.

ABOUT HARTFORD:

The Hawks (West Hartford, Conn.) are still searching their first win of the season at 0-26, 0-15 in conference.
The game will be a homecoming for Hartford after a three-game road trip with losses to Vermont, UAlbany, and UMass Lowell.
Hartford averages 2.8 blocks per game to UNH's 2.1.
Junior Jada Lucas is the team's leading scorer averaging 12.8 points per game.
Freshman guard Carmen Villalobos ranks No. 6 in the America East in rebounds per game (6.9).
In their last meeting UNH edged out Hartford 72-71 on Jan. 5 in Durham, N.H.
The 71 points against UNH was Hartford's second-best offensive performance of the season.
