DURHAM, N.H. – Coming off a big buzzer-beating win, the University of New Hampshire women's basketball team continues its short two-game road trip in Maryland, as the Wildcats take on the UMBC Retrievers on Saturday, January 18.
The Wildcats were down one point with just over two seconds to go against UAlbany this past Wednesday, but an inbound lob from freshman Héléna Delaruelle (Enghien-les-Bains, France) found senior Ashley Storey (Cumberland, Maine) in the paint and she was able to lay it in over the UAlbany defense to take a 48-47 victory. It was UNH's first road victory since November, and its second America East win.
NEXT HOME GAME:
After a Wednesday night off next week, the Wildcats return home to face the Binghamton Bearcats on Saturday, January 25 at 1 P.M.
