DURHAM, N.H. – The America East conference schedule continues for the University of New Hampshire women's basketball team, which takes on the UAlbany Great Danes this coming Wednesday night at 7 P.M. on ESPN+.

The Wildcats are coming off a tough overtime battle with Stony Brook at home; last Saturday, the Wildcats hit a basket with under a minute left to tie the game at 44-all, but the Seawolves went on a run in overtime to win by a score of 53-44.

The Great Danes come into the weeknight contest off their first conference loss of the season, losing to the Maine Black Bears 60-49 in Bangor.

NEXT HOME GAME:

The Wildcats will away from home for a week and a half, with their next game also coming on the road against UMBC on Saturday, January 18. After a Wednesday night off, they return home to face the Binghamton Bearcats on Saturday, January 25 at 1 P.M.

LAST TIME OUT:

Amanda Torres (Hudson, N.H.) led the team with 14 points on 5-of-10 shooting and a perfect 4-of-4 at the free throw line; she grabbed one offenseive and one defensive rebound for two total, along with three assists, two steals, and a block.
Senior forward Ashley Storey (Cumberland, Maine) followed that up with 12 points, going 2-of-5 from behind the arc. Storey also tallied a block shot in the contest.
Freshman guard Héléna Delaruelle (Enghien-les-Bains, France) was crucial down the stretch for the Wildcats as she hit several big isolated jumpers to keep UNH in the game; she finished with eight points, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
Once gain leading the team in rebounds was junior Maggie Ahearn (Marshfield, Mass.) grabbing eight defensive boards. Ahearn also had a basket, an assist and a steal in the game, ending with two points.

ABOUT UALBANY:
- The Great Danes (Albany, N.Y.) enter the week with a 6-10 overall record, 2-1 in America East play.
- UAlbany has played two of its three confernece games this season at home, wins over Vermont and Binghamton.
- Overall, Albany is 4-5 at home this season.
