DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire women's basketball team takes on the Stony Brook Seawolves this Saturday, January 10 at 1 P.M. in Lundholm Gym. The game will be each team's fourth America East conference game of the season, and is set to stream on ESPN+.
The Wildcats dropped their most recent matchup, a 67-50 loss to the Maine Black Bears on the road this past Wednesday, while Stony Brook continued its conference-best 12 game winning streak, tied for the fourth longest active streak, defeating the Vermont Catamounts 67-49 at home on Wednesday.
The game will serve as Stony Brook's first road America East game of the season; Stony Brook's only loss this season came at #23 Arkansas; the Seawolves are 5-1 on the road this season, the Wildcats are 3-3 when playing in Lundholm Gym.
NEXT HOME GAME:
The Wildcats will follow up this contest with a two-game road trip next Wednesday and Saturday, facing UAlbany and UMBC. After a Wednesday off, they face the Binghamton Bearcats on Saturday, January 25 at 1 P.M.

LAST TIME OUT:
- Senior forward Ashley Storey (Cumberland, Maine) led the Wildcats with 17 points in a 67-50 loss to Maine at the Cross Insurance Center.
- The Wildcats kept it close in the first but an 8-0 Maine run to start the second half put the game away for good, with Maine leading by double digits for the rest of the game.
- Storey's game-high 17 points came off of 50% shooting (7-of-14) and a perfect 3-of-3 three-point shooting. Storey also grabbed six rebounds, dished three assists and grabbed two steals.
- Once again scoring in double figures was junior Amanda Torres (Hudson, N.H.) with 12 points, along with three rebounds. Torres also led the team in assists with four, and steals with three.
- The team leader in rebounds was junior Maggie Ahearn (Marshfield, Mass.), grabbing seven, which is a new season high. She also tallied four points on the evening and posted one steal.
ABOUT STONY BROOK:
- The Seawolves (Stony Brook, N.Y.) are on the fourth longest winning streak in the nation at 12 wins, and their 15-1 start is the best start in program history.
- They played their first three conference games at home, all wins, against UMBC, Maine, and Vermont
- Stony Brook outscores its opponents on average by 10.9 points per game this season.
- The Seawolves own the better record in the previous five meetings between the two schools, with a 3-2 record against UNH. All-time, the Wildcats 26-17.
- UNH's last win against Stony Brook came in the 2018 America East Quarterfinal round at the Cross Insurance Arena in Portland, Maine. The 'Cats took down the Seawolves by a score of 70-51.
