GAME RECAP
- Boston College owned the first period with a 16-3 shot on goal advantage and a 2-0 lead; both goals were scored even strength by Kelly Browne, both shots that were initially saved but trickled through the pads
- UNH answered back early in the second period as Nicole Dunbar skated into the offensive zone one-on-one with a BC defender; getting space Dunbar fired a slapshot to the lower glove side of McArthur to cut BC's lead to one goal.
- The Eagles would respond with two more goals of their own in the final 10 minutes of the second period by Browne.
- Freshman netminder Nikki Harnett (Plymouth, Minn.) entered her second career game in relief in the second period, and stopped the only shot she faced in the remainder of that period.
- On the afternoon Harnett would save 10 of 11 shots faced, her one goal allowed came 6:22 into the third by Willow Corson.
- New Hampshire tried to start a rally behind freshman Tamara Thiérus' first career goal which came 15:22 into the third on a tough angle shot from the right side of the net. Thiérus charged the net and fire a shot that squeaked through the glove side and bounced in off the back of the goaltender.
- The Wildcats pulled their own goaltender with just over two minutes to go looking to build off that momentum but BC held the 'Cats to just the two goals.
