#14 Wildcats Defeat Harvard, 4-0, to Remain Undefeated

The Wildcats are just one of three undefeated teams left in the nation.
BOSTON – Junior Linus Fallberg (Jonkoping, Sweden) scored his first goal of the season and senior Brandon Garland (Glastonbury, Conn.) netted the first of his career as the No. 14 University of New Hampshire men's soccer team defeated the Harvard Crimson, 4-0, at Ohiri Field on Tuesday afternoon. Graduate student Fabian Lutz (Bad Groenenbach, Germany) and senior Antonio Colacci (Bradenton, Fla.) also each scored a goal. With this win, the Wildcats are one of just three teams that are undefeated in the country.
The Wildcats improve to 11-0-2 overall which is a program-best after 13 games, while the Crimson fall to 0-10-1 overall.
UNH has posted five straight shutouts and has nine for the season. The Wildcats have outscored their opposition by a 27-5 margin.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Fallberg scored an unassisted goal for his first of the season in the 20th (19:06) minute of the first half. Fallberg intercepted an attempted clear from a Crimson defender at the top of the 18-yard line, quickly shot the ball to the top right corner of the goal giving UNH a 1-0 lead.
- Colacci scored his fifth goal of the season off a pass from graduate student Jacob Mannix (Longmeadow, Mass.) in the 51st (50:01) minute of the game. The goal came as Colacci ran to the top of the 18-yard box and then blasted a shot past the goalie and into the top left corner of the goal.
- Then, in the 64th (63:17) minute, Lutz scored from Fallberg 25 yards out. Lutz received the ball from Fallberg and shot the ball into the bottom right side of the net.
- Garland got his first goal of his career from junior Jacob Gould (Exeter, N.H.) in the 81st (80:13) minute of the game. Garland flicked the ball over Harvard's charging goalie, Bobby Harraka, and the ball crossed the goal line in the center of the net.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- UNH outshot Harvard, 21-1, while the Wildcats took 10 shots on goal and the Crimson were unable to record any.
- Sophomore goalkeeper Tomeau Pocovi (Mallorca, Spain) played the first 76:27 to earn his second win of the season to improve to 2-0-0, while redshirt freshman Ben Bowers (Liverpool, N.Y.) made his collegiate debut and played the final 13:33. Harraka made six saves for the Crimson.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- This is the second straight 4-0 win for the Wildcats, as they defeated UMass Lowell 4-0 on October 19.
- Colacci leads the team with five goals and seven assists for 17 points. He has 10 goals and 14 assists for 34 career points.
- The Wildcats are 6-0-2 on the road this season. UNH has outscored the opposition on the road, 20-4.
