Liam Blackburn extends his point streak with two goals
BOSTON – Junior Liam Blackburn (Prince George, British Colombia) scored twice for the Wildcats to tie the game at 2-2, but the Terriers netted three third-period goals as the University of New Hampshire men's hockey team fell to Boston University, 5-2, on Friday night at Agganis Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- BU opened the scoring at 2:17 of the first period as Ryan Cloonan fired a wrist a shot from the left circle and Jack DeBoer redirected it in front of UNH goaltender Mike Robinson (Bedford, N.H.) to give the Terriers a 1-0 lead.
- At 15:25 of the first period, BU extended its lead to 2-0 with a power play goal. Dante Fabbro ripped a wrist shot from the blue line that found its way through traffic in front and over the glove of Robinson.
- BU outshot UNH 12-5 in the first period.
- The Wildcats went 0-1 on the man advantage while BU went 1-2.
- At 10:08 of the second period and with the Wildcats on the power play, UNH cut the lead to 2-1. Senior Ara Nazarian (Boxford, Mass.) fired a slap-shot from the right circle and the rebound bounced out to Blackburn and he tapped it in out of the air. Freshman Jackson Pierson (Zionsville, Ind.) also tallied an assist on Blackburn's goal.
- UNH outshot BU 11-4 during the second period.
- The Wildcats went 1-2 on the power play while the Terriers went 0-2 during the second period.
- At 2:24 of the third period, the Wildcats tied the contest at 2-2. Freshman Angus Crookshank (North Vancouver, British Colombia) sent a backhand pass from behind the goal to Blackburn, who fired it in from the top of the crease for his second goal of the night. Senior Chris Miller (Windham, N.H.) picked up an assist on the goal.
- At 4:52 of the third period, BU forward Joel Farabee gained the blue line and fired a wrist shot from the left circle over the glove side to give the Terriers a 3-2 lead.
- At 13:21 of the third period, the Terriers made it 4-2 as Ty Amonte sent a pass from the left circle to Cam Crotty in front of the goal, and he slapped it to the back of the net to extend the BU lead.
- Less than a minute later, the Terriers made it 5-2 as Bobo Carpenter fired a wrist shot past Robinson from the right circle.
- The Wildcats were unable to score in the final minutes as BU secured the 5-2 victory.

- BU outshot UNH by a 29-27 margin.
- Robinson made 24 saves, while Jake Oettinger posted 25.
- The Wildcats went 1-3 on the power play while the Terriers went 1-4.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
- Blackburn extends his point-streak to 10 games with five goals and nine assists for 14 points. Blackburn tied his career high of goals scored in a game with two. This is the fourth time he has done so.
- Crookshank extends his point-streak to seven games with four goals and six assists for 10 points.
