DURHAM, N.H. – Junior forward Ashley Storey (Cumberland, Maine) scored 20 points to lead five players in double figures and the University of New Hampshire women's basketball team knocked off Bryant University, 79-74, for its first win of the season Sunday afternoon in Lundholm Gymnasium.
The Wildcats went on a 14-0 run early in the fourth quarter to come from behind and grab control of the game.
UNH improved to 1-5 on the season and plays at Boston University on Wednesday night at 7. Bryant fell to 2-4.
Freshman guard Kari Brekke (Appleton, Wisc.) scored a career-high 16 points for UNH, sophomore forward Maggie Ahearn (Marshfield, Mass.) had 14, sophomore guard Amanda Torres (Hudson, N.H.) had 13 and junior guard Caroline Soucy (Beverly, Mass.) added 10.
Storey had eight rebounds and Ahearn had seven. The Wildcats made 18 of their 19 foul shots.

The Wildcats play at Boston University's Case Gym on Wednesday at 7 p.m. BU is 2-2 and beat Bryant, 67-65, on Tuesday at home.
UNH plays at the University of South Florida on Friday at 6 p.m.
The Wildcats open December with a two-game homestand. They face the University of New England on Thursday, Dec. 6 in Lundholm.
Holy Cross comes to town for a game on Sunday, Dec. 9 at 1 p.m.

HIGHLIGHTS
The Wildcats had not had more than three players in double figures in any other game this season. Their previous high in points was 70.
They also had their best shooting game both from the field and from the foul line. Along with the free throw performance (the 18-for-19 for 94.7 percent) they made 29 of their 61 field goals (47.5 percent).
Storey had her fourth straight game with at least 20 points. She scored 20 points or more once in her career before this season.
Storey made nine of her 15 field goals and Ahearn was five-for-seven.
Besides the five players in double figures, the Wildcats got a big game from senior guard Alli Gribbin (Keller, Texas). She had five of UNH's six blocked shots and also led the team in assists with four.
HOW IT HAPPENED
UNH led by as many as eight points in the first period and was on top, 23-20, when it ended.
Bryant moved in front in the second and led 36-34 at the half.
The third period was back and forth and the Bulldogs led 57-53 entering the fourth period.
Bryant took a 59-53 lead with 8:51 left in the fourth.
A Soucy layup started UNH's 14-point run. Storey and Ahearn each had a couple of layups and Brekke had one and the Wildcats were up 67-59 with 5:37 to go.
Bryant got back to within two at 69-67.
Ahearn answered with a couple of foul shots and Torres had a layup and the Wildcats stayed in front and then made their foul shots at the end to seal it.
