Camara Records Double-Double in 79-62 Loss to Hartford

DURHAM, N.H. – Tanner Leissner (Converse, Texas) scored a team-high 16 points and Iba Camara (Dakar, Senegal) recorded a double-double, but the University of New Hampshire men's basketball team was defeated 79-62 by the University of Hartford on Wednesday night at Lundholm Gym.
Leissner has been UNH's top scorer in 17 of 23 games this season. Camara recorded his eighth double-double of the season with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Jordan Reed (Lucas, Texas) also scored in double digits; all 12 of his points were on 3-pointers. Elijah Jordan (Orlando, Fla.) had six assists in 18 minutes off the bench.
Jason Dunne netted a game-high 24 points on the strength of 6-for-8 shooting from 3-point range. J.R. Lynch (17 points), John Carroll (12) and Jack Hobbs (11) also scored in double digits. George Blagojevic pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds.
UNH is now 9-14 overall and 5-4 in America East. Hartford, which has lost six straight to the Wildcats, improved to 13-10, 6-3.

GAME RECAP
- Hartford hit 11 of its first 12 field goal attempts to build a 27-15 lead at 11:07.
- Trailing 35-24 with 6:23 remaining in the first half, UNH went on a 10-0 run the next 3 minutes, 30 seconds to close within 35-34. Leissner ignited the spurt with a 3-pointer, then Camara hit a pair of layups on back-to-back possessions and Reed hit his third 3-pointer of the half at 2:55.
- Carroll hit two free throws at 2:05 and two more with 32 seconds on the clock to send the Hawks into the locker room with a 39-34 lead.
- The Wildcats opened the second half on an 8-0 run to surge ahead, 42-39, at 16:50. Leissner hit a pair of foul shots on the opening possession, then John Ogwuche (Makurdi, Nigeria) made a driving layup on the left baseline to once again trim the deficit to one point, 39-38.
- Reed's fourth 3-pointer of the game gave New Hampshire a 41-39 lead at 17:59, and a Leissner free throw at 16:32 capped the run.
- Travis Weatherington's 3-pointer put the visitors back in front, 44-42 but Jacoby Armstrong (Dallas, Texas) answered with a jumper inside the foul line to tie the score with 14:19 remaining.
- Dunne responded with a layup at the other end of the court that sparked a 7-0 run, and Hartford led the rest of the way.
- The lead extended to double digits, 59-49, on Hobbs' layup at 9:36.
- UNH called time out and Leissner connected on a jumper, but Dunne answered with a 3-pointer to start a 14-0 run that pushed the margin to 73-51 with 4:29 remaining.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Hartford shot 55.1% from the floor (27-49), including 55.0% on 3-pointers (11-20).
- In comparison, UNH was 20-55 on FGs (36.4%) and 9-26 on 3's (34.6%).
- UNH, ranked No. 8 in the nation in rebound margin (+8.2), was outrebounded 37-30 by the Hawks.
- Dunne scored 19 of his 24 points in the second half, when he was 6-for-9 from the floor, including 5 of 6 on 3's.

- Camara increased his school record for career rebounds to 934.
- He also climbed to a tie for No. 7 on the career games played list with 114.
- Leissner extended his UNH benchmarks for career free throws made (495) and attempted (641).
- Leissner now has 1,820 career points, which is 41 points away from tying the school record.
- Leissner moved into a tie for fourth on the career rebounds list (826) and a tie for ninth on the career games played list (113).
- Leissner climbed two spots to No. 18 on the America East all-time scoring leaderboard.
