Wedsjö Helps Ski Team Place Fourth at Middlebury Carnival

MIDDLEBURY & RIPTON, Vt. – Lisa Wedsjö (Saltsjöbaden, Sweden) raced to a fifth-place finish in women's giant slalom at Middlebury Snow Bowl, and the duo of Lizzie Gill (Bozeman, Mont.) and Katrin Larusson (Truckee, Calif.) teamed up to place third in the women's classic sprint relay at Rikert Nordic Center on Saturday to lead the University of New Hampshire ski team to fourth place at the Middlebury Winter Carnival.

The EISA Championships/NCAA East Regional Championships (Feb. 24-25) will take place at the Bates Carnival with alpine events at Sunday River in Newry, Maine, and Nordic events at Black Mountain in Rumford, Maine. The giant slalom (alpine), men's 10K classic and women's 5K classic are on tap Friday. On Saturday, it will be the slalom, men's 20K freestyle and women's 15K freestyle races.
