Gill, Women's Nordic Team Victorious at Dartmouth Carnival

LYME, N.H. & CRAFTSBURY COMMON, Vt. – Lizzie Gill (Bozeman, Mont.) topped the podium in her third straight race, earning an individual and team women's Nordic victory in Saturday's 5K classic at Craftsbury Outdoor Center to ignite the University of New Hampshire ski team to a fourth-place overall finish at the Dartmouth Carnival.
Silje Wilson (Hamar, Norway) took fourth place and Katrin Larusson (Truckee, Calif.) finished ninth to give the UNH women's Nordic team 122 points, which edged runner-up Dartmouth (117).
Peter Holmes (Tahoe City, Calif.) was the top men's Nordic 'Cat with a third-place finish in the 10K classic.

On the Nordic side, the women's 15K/men's 20K mass start skate races are on the Friday schedule (Feb. 17), followed by the classic team sprint relays (Feb. 18). In alpine competition, the slalom takes center stage Friday prior to the giant slalom races Saturday.
