DURHAM, N.H. - The University of New Hampshire women's basketball team (17-3, 7-0 AE) takes on the University of Maryland, Baltimore Country (9-11, 4-3 AE) on Youth Day on Saturday, Jan. 28 (12 PM) in Lundholm Gymnasium.
Looking Ahead
The Wildcats play at Stony Brook on Wednesday at 5 p.m. in the first game of a doubleheader. The UNH-Stony Brook men play at 7. Both games are on ESPN 3.

The Wildcats broke into the www.collegeinsider.com Mid-Major Top 25 poll on Jan. 24. UNH came in at No. 25 and was the only newcomer to the list this week. The Wildcats had 66 points in the poll, trailing No. 24 Stephen F. Austin with 68 points and No. 23 Jacksonville with 89. UNH had been in the "receiving votes" portion of the poll for a couple of weeks. The No. l spot belongs to Green Bay with a 17-2 record, all 31 first-place votes and a total of 775 points. Drake (15-4) is No. 2 and So. Dakota (17-3) No. 3.
Eleven and Counting
UNH set a program record against Maine on Jan. 19 with its ninth straight win and the Wildcats have now extended that mark to 11 games. The Wildcats last loss came on Dec. 11 against Yale at home and they have win 16 of their last 17 games. The previous record of eight consecutive wins came during the 1982-83 season.
