Men’s Hoops Treks to Coastal Carolina for Second Round of the CIT (March 19; 2 p.m.)

DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire men's basketball team will face Coastal Carolina University on Saturday, March 19 (2 p.m.) in the second round of the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament at HTC Center.

Looking Ahead
With a victory, UNH will head to the quarterfinals set to play on March 22-24. The opponent and date will be decided following the conclusion of the second round.

About the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament
• The CIT features five rounds of play over the next three weeks. The semifinals (March 27) and championship game (March 29) will be televised live on CBS Sports Network.
• The field is made up of non-Power 5 programs, not selected to participate in the NCAA or NIT (ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, PAC-12 and SEC teams are not considered). All 31 games are played on campus sites. In an effort to minimize travel and limit missed class time, the CIT uses the old NIT model, with future round opponents determined by results of the previous round, ensuring geographic stability. The 2009 and 2010 tournaments were contested by 16 teams. The 2011 CIT consisted of 24 teams and the field expanded to its current 32-team format in 2012.

The Wildcats secured their 20^th win, a program-best mark, in the 77-62 win over Fairfield.
New Hampshire also won its first-ever postseason game in its second-straight postseason appearance.
Junior Jaleen Smith (Freeport, Texas) drilled 13 of 14 free throws last game, setting a new career-high.
UNH will be playing Coastal Carolina for the first time in program history.
The 'Cats recorded its second-best single game free throw percentage all season, hitting 15 of 17 attempts (88.2 percent).

G: Jr. Jaleen Smith (Freeport, Texas) - Hit a career-best 13 free throws at Fairfield.
G: Sr. Ronnel Jordan (San Antonio, Texas) - His senior season continues, starting 28 games this year.
G: Jr. Joe Bramanti (Andover, Mass.) - Had seven points, five rebounds and two steals last game.
F: So. Iba Camara (Dakar, Senegal) - Recorded his 14th double-digit rebounding game at Fairfield.
F: So. Tanner Leissner (Converse, Texas) - Tallied 15 pointsa and eight rebounds for his 15th 15+ point game this season.
