DURHAM, N.H. – Freshman Meghara McManus (Milton, Mass.) scored her fourth goal of the season as the University of New Hampshire women's hockey team fell at home to No. 6 Boston College, 5-1.

WHAT HAPPENED
At 4:44 of the first period, McManus scored her fourth goal of the season to give the Wildcats a 1-0 lead. The play came as she stripped the puck from a Boston College player and skated into the faceoff circle to the right of BC netminder Katie Burt. McManus ripped a wrister that rang the post and went into the net.
The Eagles tied the game at the 5:58 mark of the second period as Caitrin Lonergan notched her first of three points on the net. Makenna Newkirk set up the play as she dished the puck to Megan Keller. Keller sent the puck down to the redline to Lonergan who fired her shot into the net. Kelleher set up the second goal of the night for BC at the 7:18 mark of the second period as she saucered a pass to Lonergan in the UNH zone. Lonergan hit Newkirk in stride who fired a shot to the low left corner of the net.
Newkirk tallied her second goal of the night at 11:26 of the third period to put the Eagles up, 3-1. Lonergan started the play with a pass to Kristyn Capizzano in the UNH zone. She then played a pass to Newkirk who buried her chance. Tori Ann Miano gave BC a 4-1 lead at 11:58 of the third with her third goal of the season. She was assisted by Kelleher and Lonergan on the play. The Eagles registered their fifth goal of the night with 42 second left in the third period on a goal by Delaney Belinskas. Kenzie Kent notched the lone assist on the play.
