Albers (Eagan, Minn.) had a header attempt that was blocked by the Falcon defense. Ben Ramin (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) gathered the rebound and fired a shot, but it too was blocked.

The play started with keeper Travis Worra (Lancaster, Pa.) blasting a punt down the field. Schlatter played the bounce in the box with his head, but Schenk was able to secure the ball. UNH kept the offense coming in the closing minutes of the first half as Schlatter recorded another header attempt that went just wide to the left of the net. Riley Ellis (Goffstown, N.H.) recorded a shot with under a minute left in the first half, but the midfielder sent the ball just high of the net.
At the end of the first half, the Falcons held a 1-0 advantage over the Wildcats. UNH outshot Air Force, 9-7 in the half.
Martel opened the second half with a pair of shots on goal, but Schenk made saves on each of the two shots. Christopher Wingate (Hovik, Norway) kept the pressure coming for the Wildcats with a blast in the 66th minute, but the ball went just high of the target. Ramin also recorded another shot in the 70th minute, but the ball was saved by Falcon keeper Schenk. Worra came up with a save in the 78th minute of a shot by Air Force's Blake Elder as he knocked the ball out of bounds.
In the 80th minute, AF took a 2-0 lead on a goal by Gus Jensen. The play started with Falcon Tucker Axhoj playing the ball to Trey Pujats. Pujats played the ball to Jensen who struck a one-time shot from 15 yards out to the left side of the net for the goal.
Martel recorded his fourth shot of the game in the 84th minute of play that was saved by Schenk. Down on the other end of the field, Axhoj placed a shot on net, but Worra remained stood strong and made the save. In the closing minutes, Albers put a header attempt on net stemming from a free kick by Wingate, but Schenk kept the lead for the Falcons. At the end of the second half, UNH fell to Air Force, 2-0.
