Bio
El Shakery is a 6-foot-8, 230-pound forward who originally hails from Alexandria, Egypt. Last season at Wofford, El Shakery averaged 3.3 points and 4.1 rebounds in eight games. He registered season-highs of 11 points and 12 rebounds in the season-opener versus Erskine on Nov. 4. El Shakery, a 2023-24 Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll member, averaged 15.0 points, 10.1 rebounds and 4.4 assists in his one season (2022-23) at The Winchendon School (Mass.) for a Wapiti team that went 20-5. As a member of the Egyptian National Team program, he played for his native country in the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup.
