UNH Leads Conference in 2025-26 America East Academic Honor Roll

BOSTON – The University of New Hampshire boasted a conference-best 88 percent of its student-athletes being named to an America East Academic Honor Roll in the 2025-26 academic year. A total of 249 UNH student-athletes received recognition with a split of 182 on the Commissioner's Honor Roll and 67 on the Honor Roll.
Of the 182 Wildcats on the Commissioner's Honor Roll, 58 recorded a perfect 4.0 GPA during their competition season.
America East announced that a conference-record 84 percent of student-athletes earned Academic Honor Roll status (Commissioner's Honor Roll or Honor Roll) this past year and that included 60 percent earning a spot on the Commissioner's Honor Roll.
Honor Roll recognition is bestowed to student-athletes who obtain a semester GPA of 3.0-3.49 during their competition season, while Commissioner's Honor Roll acknowledges student-athletes who earn a 3.5 GPA or higher during their competition season.
Earlier in July, the conference announced UNH won a share of the Walter Harrison Academic Cup (highest school GPA in the 2025-26 year) and also that the Wildcats recorded the highest percentage of winter/spring student-athletes on the Spring 2026 Academic Honor Roll at 91 percent.
New Hampshire was the Academic Honor Roll sport champion (highest percentage of the team on the Academic Honor Roll) in both women's cross country and women's track & field this past year.
In 2025-26, five Wildcats were named a sport-specific Scholar-Athlete of the Year – Zachary Hooper (Concord, N.H.) in men's cross country, Audrey Mahoney (Downers Grove, Ill.) in women's swimming and diving, Abbi Maier(Cincinnati, Ohio) in women's soccer, Nicole Poulakis (Ajax, Ontario) in field hockey and Ruth White (Orono, Maine) in women's outdoor track & field.
Also of note in 2025-26, sixteen Wildcats were named an America East Presidential Scholar-Athlete for graduating with a GPA of 3.75 or higher.
