Wildcats conclude series with Northeastern on Sunday at Walter Brown Arena

DURHAM, N.H. – Four different Huskies scored as the University of New Hampshire men's hockey team fell to Northeastern, 4-0, on Friday night in the Whittemore Center at Key Auto Group Complex in Hockey East action.

The Wildcats fall to 11-9-0 (5-5-0 Hockey East), while the Huskies improve to 11-9-0 (6-6-0 Hockey East).

These two teams will conclude the two-game series on Sunday, Jan. 16 at Walter Brown Arena on the campus of Boston University on ESPN+ and TSN+ at 4 p.m. Admission is free.
Next week, the Wildcats will play a home-and-home series with No. 12 Boston College on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 23-24 at 7 p.m. on ESPN+. Friday is at Conte Forum, while the contest on Saturday is at the Whitt for Military Appreciation Night presented by Milton CAT. The Skate for the 22 Veteran Hockey Game will take place at 3:30 p.m. and is free admission. The Durham Fire Department's American Flag will be on display and fans can take selfies with Military vehicles.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Griffan Erdman opened the scoring at 8:22 of the first period to give the Huskies a 1-0 lead, finishing in the crease off a pass from the slot from Amine Hajibi.
Dylan Hryckowian extended the Huskies' lead to 2-0 at 1:02 of the second period capitalizing on a rebound after a wide shot by Jacob Mathieu.
Northeastern extended its lead to 3-0 when Dylan Compton fired a shot from the blue line that was tipped in by Mathieu at 7:18 in the third period.
Andy Moore scored the final goal of the game at 17:11 in the third period off when he knocked in a rebound off a wraparound shot by Hryckowian, clinching a 4-0 Huskies victory.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

Northeastern outshot UNH, 27-26.
The Wildcats went 0-2 on the power play while the Huskies went 0-1.
Senio goalie Kyle Chauvette (Goffstown, N.H.) posted 23 saves for the Wildcats, while Lawton Zacher made 26 for the Huskies.
