BOSTON – University of New Hampshire graduate student Aidan Shea (Amherst, N.H.) and senior Claire Ronan (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) have been named to the America East Indoor Track and Field All-Academic Team.
Shea earns this honor for the fourth time in his career, while Ronan is a first-time honoree.
Shea holds a perfect 4.0 GPA in both his undergraduate Homeland Security studies and graduate Kinesiology program. On the track, he set the UNH school record in the mile at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational and placed second in the event at the America East Championships. He ranks first in the mile and sixth in the 1000-meter run in the America East. Shea has previously been named to the America East Commissioner's Honor Roll in 2022, 2023, and 2024, as well as the CSC All-Academic Team in 2023.
Ronan, a Psychology major with a 3.62 GPA, won the 1000-meter run at the America East Championships. She also ranks third in the conference for the mile. She was also a key contributor to UNH's second-ranked distance medley relay. Ronan has been named to the America East Commissioner's Honor Roll in each of the last three seasons (2022, 2023, 2024).
UNH track and field will kick off the outdoor season this weekend with the Black and Gold Invitational, hosted by Bryant University, on March 28-29.
