Lauta records shutout with six saves.
NEWARK, N.J. – Senior goalkeeper Erik Lauta (Aptos, Calif.) made six saves to post the shutout as the University of New Hampshire men's soccer team tied NJIT, 0-0, on Friday evening at Lubetkin Field in America East action.
With the results around the conference, the Wildcats have clinched a bid to the America East Tournament. UNH is currently in second place with 11 points with one game to play.
The Wildcats are now 6-3-6 (3-1-2 AE), while the Highlanders are 6-6-4 (2-2-2 AE).

HOW IT HAPPENED:
· Lauta made the first save of the game in the 30th minute on a shot by Goncalo Franco.
· Then in the 38th minute, graduate student Federico Tellez (Miami, Fla.) was given a red card as the Wildcats played with 10 men for the remainder of the game.
· Lauta was outstanding in net as he made five saves during the second half to secure the shutout, which included a save on a penalty kick in the 53rd minute.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
· NJIT outshot UNH, 22-5, while the Highlanders took six shots on goal and the Wildcats had one.
· NJIT had five corner kicks and UNH took three.
· Lauta made six saves for his fifth shutout of the season and the sixth of his career as he is now 6-3-6 on the year, while Devin Armstrong posted one save NJIT.
