Wildcats Defeat Binghamton 79-73 in Overtime Thriller

DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire men's basketball team came back from being down by 12 in the second half to defeat Binghamton 79-73 in overtime on Thursday evening from Lundholm Gym. Senior forward Clarence Daniels (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) scored 32 points for the Wildcats and collected 10 rebounds for his eighth double double.
Junior guard Ahmad Robinson (West Orange, N.J.) scored 22 points and collected seven rebounds for the Wildcats while grad student forward Jaxson Baker (Phoenix, Ariz.) drained 11 points and grabbed five rebounds.
The Wildcats' record improves to 12-7 (4-2 AE) and Binghamton falls to 8-10 (0-5 AE).

FIRST HALF:
· Both teams exchanged threes to open the game, 3-3. This score stood for the next two minutes until Daniels had a driving layup to take a 5-3 lead.

· Binghamton took back the lead, 64-60, with a dunk and a three-pointer with 1:18 to go.
OVERTIME:
· Robinson drained two clutch jumpers to take the lead twice in overtime, one to put the 'Cats up 70-69 and the other to put UNH up 72-70.
· Grad student guard Naim Miller (Pittsburgh, Pa.) sank two crucial free throws with 42 seconds left to take a 74-70 lead.
· Robinson and Sunderland combined for five free throws in the final 30 seconds to secure the 79-73 victory.
