MIAMI – Graduate student back Dominik Kurija (Munich, Germany) scored his first goal as a Wildcat as the University of New Hampshire men's soccer team defeated No. 11 Florida International 2-1 on Friday evening from Miami.

Graduate student midfielder Bilal Kamal (London, England) scored the first goal of the game for the 'Cats.

The Wildcats improve to 3-1-1, while the Panthers fall to 2-1-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Kamal gave the 'Cats a 1-0 lead in the 11^th minute (10:40) when he buried the ball to the bottom right corner. Graduate student back Liam Bennett (Concord, N.H.) found Kamal streaking towards the goal and notched an assist on the goal.

Kurija ripped a shot from outside the box through traffic and into the back of the net in the 15^th minute (14:45) to give UNH a 2-0 lead.

Eduardo Mustre capitalized on a penalty kick in the 19^th minute (18:52) for the Panthers and cut the FIU deficit in half.
