Joseba Incera records shutout for the Wildcats.

VESTAL, N.Y. – Graduate student Joseba Incera (Santurtzi, Spain) posted his first shutout as a Wildcat as the No. 18 University of New Hampshire men's soccer team tied Binghamton, 0-0, on Saturday evening at Bearcats Sports Complex, in the America East season opener for both teams. UNH outshot the Bearcats by a 17-4 margin.

The Wildcats are now 4-1-2 (0-0-1 America East), while the Bearcats are 2-5-1 (0-0-1 America East).

The Wildcats return to action on Tuesday, Sept. 26 versus Harvard at 6 p.m. on ESPN+ from Wildcat Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Wildcats controlled play in the first half outshooting Binghamton, 8-1, with three shots on goal as the defense prevented the Bearcats from taking any shots on target. The Wildcats took all six corner kicks.
UNH also had the majority of the chances during the second half as the 'Cats outshot the Bearcats, 9-3, while each team took one shot on goal.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

UNH outshot Binghamton, 17-4, while the Wildcats had four shots on goal and the Bearcats posted one.
UNH attempted 10 corner kicks and the Tigers took three.
Incera made one save to record his first shutout at UNH, while Jack Root posted four saves for the Bearcats.
