Service Credit Union Student-Athletes Of The Week: Avery LePore and Dylan Laube

DURHAM, N.H.- Sophomore Avery LePore (Franklin, Tenn) of the University of New Hampshire volleyball team and senior captain Dylan Laube (Westhampton, N.Y.) of the UNH football team were named the Service Credit Union Student-Athletes of the Week on Sept. 11.

Avery LePore helped lead UNH to a 2-1 record at the Erie Insurance Invitational at James Madison on Sept. 8-9 to earn a spot on the All-Tournament Team.

On Sept. 8, Avery contributed to the Wildcats' 3-1 win over California Polytechnic State University with a career-high 32 digs and two service aces.

Later that day, she had 15 digs versus Virginia Commonwealth University. She led all players with 18 digs in the loss to James Madison University and had another two aces.

Avery leads the Wildcats in digs with 177 and is third on the team in assists with 28.

UNH travels to the University of Kansas to compete in the Jayhawk Classic on Sept. 15-16 against both Texas State and Kansas on Friday and Bellarmine on Saturday. New Hampshire's next home match is Jill Hirschinger Day on Saturday, Sept. 23 (6 p.m.) against Dartmouth College.

On Sept. 9 at Central Michigan University, Dylan Laube broke the program record for single-game receiving yards with 295 on a career-high 12 receptions. In CAA Football history, Dylan's 295 receiving yards ranks fourth in receiving yards. He received a total of five weekly accolades Monday (Sept. 11) for his record-breaking performance.

Laube finished with 371 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns, including 71-yard and 80-yard TD receptions.

Both his 295 receiving yards and 371 all-purpose yards are best in the FCS this season. Laube's other stats included seven rushes for 30 yards, one kickoff return for 28 yards and a punt return for 18 yards.
