FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Junior guard Ahmad Robinson (West Orange, N.J.) scored four points in the final 14 seconds of the game as the University of New Hampshire men's basketball team took down Fairfield 83-80 on Friday evening from Leo D. Mahoney Arena.

Grad student guard Naim Miller (Pittsburgh, Pa.) and grad student forward Jaxson Baker (Phoenix, Ariz.) both recorded career highs as Wildcats in scoring. Miller drained 20 points and Baker scored 16 in the contest.

Senior forward Clarence Daniels (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) and Baker both recorded double doubles for the Wildcats. Daniels scored 19 points and registered 13 rebounds while Baker had 16 points and 13 rebounds.

The Wildcats' record advances to 4-2 (0-0 AE) and Fairfield falls to 1-5 (0-0 MAAC).

FIRST HALF: 

The Wildcats went on an early 7-0 run within 1:30 to take a 15-6 lead. The Stags responded with a 7-0 run in the same amount of time to bring the UNH lead to three, 27-24.
Eight points from Miller in 2:30 allowed the 'Cats to begin to pull away from the Stags.
Fairfield went on a 9-0 run in the final 2:18 of the half to bring the Wildcat lead to two, 37-35.
Baker had three made three-pointers in the first half for the 'Cats.

SECOND HALF:

Six additional points from Miller in a span of one minute opened a UNH second half lead, 45-37.
The Wildcats and the Stags took turns going on runs through the entirety of the half with UNH keeping the lead. The Stags kept the 'Cats lead to four or less.
Fairfield's Jasper Floyd was successful on a one and one, giving the Stags the lead for the first time in the game, 78-77 with 2:23 left.
Trailing by one, Robinson made a driving layup to reclaim the lead by one point. He was fouled for a one and one and made both, securing the win.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

Baker and Daniels both scored 11 points for the Wildcats in the first half. They also combined for 11 rebounds.
The Wildcats shot 44.8% from beyond the arc.
Baker tied his career high as a Wildcat in blocks with four.
