Daniels Named to America East Preseason All Conference Team

BOSTON - Senior forward Clarence Daniels (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) has been named to the Men's Basketball Preseason All-Conference Team. The America East Conference announced the Team on Wednesday.
In the 2022-2023 season, his first season as a Wildcat, Daniels started and played in all 30 games. He led the team in points (459), rebounding (320), field goals (165), and steals (38). He scored a career high 34 points in the team's overtime victory against Boston College. He was no stranger to double-doubles, recording one in almost half of the team's games (14).
He ranked first on the America East leader board in rebounding (10.7) and ranked fourth in scoring (15.3) Daniels was ranked eighth in the nation in rebounds per game (10.7). He collected two America East Player of the Week awards (12/12/2022, 1/30/23) and was named to the All-Conference First Team.
The rest of the Preseason All-Conference Team includes Abdoul Karim Coulibaly of UMass Lowell, Aaron Deloney of Vermont, Sharif Gross-Bullock and Earl Timberlake of Bryant and Kellen Tynes of Maine.
The Wildcats open their season when they travel to Syracuse on November 6 for a 7 p.m. tip off. UNH starts conference play January 6 when the 'Cats welcome UMass Lowell to Lundholm Gym.
