Four different Wildcats find the back of the net.

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Senior midfielder Bilal Kamal (London, England), graduate student forward Paul Mayer (Strasbourg, France), junior back Moise Bombito (Montreal, Quebec) and junior forward Eli Goldman (Minneapolis, Minn.) each scored a goal for the Wildcats as the University of New Hampshire men's soccer team defeated Bryant, 4-1, on Saturday afternoon at Bulldog Soccer Stadium in the America East season opener for both teams.

The Wildcats improve to 4-3-0 overall (1-0-0 AE), while the Bulldogs fall to 3-5-0 overall (0-1-0 AE). This was Bryant's first game as a member of America East.

The Wildcats return to action on Tuesday, Sept. 27, when they travel to Cambridge, Mass., to take on Harvard at 7 p.m. on ESPN+.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Kamal gave the Wildcats a 1-0 lead in the 12th minute (11:45) when he scored off a rebound from a shot by graduate student Johann von Knebel (Hamburg, Germany).

Mayer then increased the advantage to 2-0 when he sent a header to the upper right corner of the net off a corner kick by junior back Liam Bennett (Concord, N.H.).

Bombito knocked in a loose ball from right front of the net in the 65th minute (64:14) to make it a 3-0 contest. von Knebel and graduate student midfielder Jamie Davis (Cheshire, England) each tallied an assist on the goal.

After Digger Iqbal scored for Bryant, Goldman netted the final goal of the game in the 81st minute (80:29) when he sent the ball to the lower left side of the net from 15 yards out for the 4-1 win.

UNH outshot Bryant, 21-5, while the Wildcats took 11 shots on goal and the Bulldogs took four.
Senior goalkeeper Jassem Koleilat (Dubai, United Arab Emirates) recorded three saves to earn the win, while Luca Marinelli posted five saves for Bryant.
