Men’s Soccer to Hold Clinic Before Aug. 12 Fisher Cats Game

MANCHESTER, N.H. - The No. 9 nationally-ranked University of New Hampshire men's soccer team will hold its sixth annual pregame soccer clinic on the field at Delta Dental Stadium before the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Toronto Blue Jays Double-A affiliate) take on the Erie SeaWolves (Detroit Tigers Double-A affiliate) on Friday, August 12.
The soccer clinic will take place from 5 - 6 p.m., with first pitch of the Fisher Cats game scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Call (603) 641-2005 and ask for Nate Newcombe or Darrin Messier to buy tickets and get signed up for the clinic.Go here for more information.
The Wildcats went 17-2-2 (7-0-1 America East) during a historic 2021 season that featured program records for wins (17) and winning percentage (.857). UNH advanced to the Round of 16 of the NCAA Tournament for the second time in program history after defeating North Carolina, 4-1, in the second round at Wildcat Stadium. UNH led the nation with a .466 team goals against average, while the Wildcats' .857 winning percentage was fifth in the country and their 47 goals scored were ranked 10th.
The Wildcats kick off the 2022 season on Thursday, Aug. 25 with a top-20 matchup at No. 20 and four-time national champion Maryland. The home-opener is versus Boston University on Sunday, Aug. 28 at 5 p.m. at Wildcat Stadium. This season, the Wildcats are looking to make their sixth straight NCAA Tournament appearance.
