Service Credit Union Student-Athletes Of The Week: Nicole Yeomans & Kevin McGrath

DURHAM, N.H. -- Junior Nicole Yeomans (Foxborough, Mass.) of the women's track and field team and senior Kevin McGrath (Hopkinton, N.H.) of the men's track and field team were named the Service Credit Union Student-Athletes of the Week on Feb. 28.

Yeomans won gold in the mile run with a time of 4:54.30 at the America East Indoor Championships at Boston University's Track & Tennis Center. She also took bronze in the 1,000 meters with a time of 2:56.28. .

New Hampshire returns to action March 5-6 at the ECAC/IC4A Championships, which are also being held at Boston University.

McGrath won the high jump with a school-record performance at the America East Championships.

He was the only competitor of 12 entrants to clear 6-feet, 8.75 inches and then he went on to break his school record by clearing a height of 6-10.75. He broke his New England championship mark of 6-.975 established earlier this month.
