Kyree Brown notched a game-high 25 points in the win for the Wildcats
DURHAM, N.H. - Junior guard Kyree Brown (Oakland, Calif) of the University of New Hampshire men's basketball team scored a game-high 25 points on 8-of-10 shooting in the Wildcats' 83-71 victory over Fairfield in non-conference play from Lundholm Gymnasium on Friday afternoon.
UNH led the first half with a 43-35 score, as UNH held a 14-6 lead to start the game, Graduate student guard Nazim Derry (Atlantic City, N.J.) notched 17 points off the bench in 33 minutes of action on 6-10 from the field, while junior forward Clarence Daniels (Brooklyn Park, Minn) totaled 15 points and eight rebounds.
The Cats out rebounded Fairfield 33-28. Caleb Fields of Fairfield scored 19 of the 71 points in the losing effort.
UNH shot 50% from the field in the first half and followed that up with 57% in the second frame. The 'Cats also shot 54% from the three-point arc for the game.
The Wildcats return to action on Tuesday, November 15 against Fordham at 7pm and UNH returns back to Lundholm Gymnasium on Sunday, November 20 at 2pm vs. Boston University. The games can be seen live on ESPN+.
