#20 UNH Captures Fourth Straight AE Regular Season Championship with 3-0 Win over UML

The Wildcats will be the No. 1 seed in the AE Tournament.
The Wildcats improve to 12-4-0 (6-1-0 AE), while the River Hawks conclude the season 2-9-5 (0-4-3 AE).
With tonight's results, the Wildcats have won their fourth straight America East Regular Season Championship and will be the No. 1 seed in the AE Tournament. The Wildcats placed first in the final standings with 18 points, while Vermont, which tied UAlbany 0-0 tonight, was second with 16 points. UNH is only the second program to win at least four straight America East regular season championships as Boston University won five from 1990-1994. The Wildcats have won five regular season AE titles overall as they also captured the trophy in 2009.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Wildcats took a 1-0 lead in the 21st minute (20:19) when graduate student midfielder Tola Showunmi (Enfield, England) scored on a penalty kick after UMass Lowell midfielder Guillermo Frances Poquet was called for a handball off of a shot by graduate student midfielder Johann von Knebel (Hamburg, Germany). Showunmi scored finding the top middle of the net.

- Senior goaltender Jassem Koleilat (Dubai, United Arab Emirates) made a diving save in the 42nd minute (41:51) after River Hawk Oscar Perez took a free kick.

- UNH extended its lead when junior forward Eli Goldman (Minneapolis, Minnesota) scored in the 77th minute (76:31) netting the ball in the bottom left corner. Graduate student forward Paul Mayer (Strasbourg, France) posted the assist when he passed the ball left to Goldman.

- Senior midfielder Bilal Kamal (London, England) scored late in the second half in the 89th minute (88:40) to make it a 3-0 game. Kamal shot the ball high right for the last goal of the game.
