'Cats pick up two victories vs. Maine and Providence

ORONO, Maine -- The University of New Hampshire women's swimming and diving team picked up a pair of victories against Providence (227-109) and Maine (208-137) on Friday afternoon at Stanley Wallace Pool in the regular-season finale.
"We used today's meet as a tune up for conference and we are happy with where we are right now and we're all looking forward to the next two weeks," said UNH head coach Josh Willman.
The 'Cats group of Kiersten Donnelly (Pottstown, Pa.), Jamy Lum (Honolulu, Hawaii), Chiara Pradissitto (Milan, Italy) and Cate Wardinski (Burke, Va.) won the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:49.42.
Madison Lindstedt (Marion, Ohio) was victorious in the 500 free (5:10.31), while Maddie Fritz (Lansdale, Pa.) took first in the 50 breast (30.79). Anna Metzler (Regensburg, Germany) recorded the win in the 100 fly with a mark of 56.85, as well as the 100 free (58.46) and Pradissitto added a win in the 50 free (24.50) and the 50 fly (26.33).
Junior Olivia Stille (Stockholm, Sweden) took gold in the 100 free at 53.34, while Lum won the 100 breast (1:06.63) and Lindstedt got her second victory of the day in the 200 free (1:58.82).
Stille, Metzler, Pradissitto and Wardinski combined for the win in the 200 free relay (1:38.72) to close out the solid performance for the Wildcats on the road.
The Wildcats return to action for the America East Championship beginning on Thursday, February 10th from the campus of WPI in Worcester, Mass.
