'Cats fall at Hartford on Wednesday night, 69-57

Marco Foster posts a team-high 14 points in the losing effort on the road for UNH
WEST HARTFORD, Conn. -- The University of New Hampshire men's basketball team fell in America East play at Hartford, 69-57 on Wednesday night at Chase Family Arena.
UNH drops to 6-6 overall (1-2 AE), while the Hawks improve to 3-10 overall (1-0 AE) with the victory.
Sophomore guard Marco Foster (Chicago, Ill.) totaled a team best 14 points on 5-of-10 shooting in just 20 minutes of action, while senior guard Qon Murphy (Charlotte, N.C.) chipped in with 12 points and sophomore guard Blondeau Tchoukuiegno (Montreal, Quebec) had a very solid game with 10 points, nine rebounds and four assists in the losing effort for the Wildcats.
UNH won the battle on the glass against Hartford, 32-29 and had a slight edge at 26-24 in points in the paints vs. the Hawks.
Hartford was led offensively by Traci Carter and Austin Williams, who posted 19 and 18 points, respectively in the victory for Hartford.
The 'Cats went to the locker room down, 38-30 at the half on a team-high 10 points from Qon Murphy.
The Wildcats return to action on Saturday, January 22 against UMass Lowell. Game time from Lundholm Gymnasium is 1 p.m. on ESPN+.
