UNH Receives USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of New Hampshire volleyball team has earned a 2021 USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award. The announcement was made Monday by the United States Marine Corps and the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
The USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award honors volleyball teams that displayed excellence in the classroom during the 2020-21 school year by recording a 3.30 or higher team grade point average. The Wildcats achieved that with a mark of 3.48.
"I am extremely proud of my team and the efforts they made academically during the pandemic," said head coach Christopher Feliciano. "Our athletes truly care about their academics here at UNH."
New Hampshire ended the Spring 2021 season on a five-match winning streak to finish with a 7-3 record (both overall and in America East).
UNH has received this accolade a total of seven times. The 'Cats were previously feted five consecutive years (2012-16) and again in 2018.
