Yannick Bright Named America East Rookie of the Week

Bright scored his first collegiate goal and added an assist in the win over UMass Lowell.
BOSTON – Freshman midfielder Yannick Bright (Milan, Italy) of the No. 11 University of New Hampshire men's soccer team has been named the America East Rookie of the Week for his three-point performance in the 4-1 win versus UMass Lowell on April 2. This is Bright's first career America East weekly award.
Bright scored his first collegiate goal and added an assist for three points versus UML. Bright scored the first goal of the game in the sixth minute for the first goal of his college career. He also posted an assist on the last goal of the game for his first multi-point game of his career.
Bright has one goal and two assists for four points this season.
The Wildcats (5-0-1, 4-0-1 America East) have clinched a bid to the four-team America East Championship on Thursday, April 15 and Saturday, April 17 which will take place at the top seed of the tournament. UNH will earn the No. 1 seed with a win or tie in the regular season finale at Vermont (4-0-1, 4-0-1 America East) on Friday, April 9 at 5 p.m. The game will be on ESPN3. The No. 11 ranking in this week's United Soccer Coaches Poll is the highest in program history.
