Robles posted a shutout in the 4-0 win versus Hartford on March 26.
BOSTON – Graduate student goalkeeper Alejandro Robles (Monterey, Mexico) of the No. 12 University of New Hampshire men's soccer team has been named the America East Defensive Player of the Week as he posted a shutout in the 4-0 win versus Hartford on March 26 at Wildcat Stadium. This is Robles' second career America East weekly award as he also was named the Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 3, 2019.
Robles posted his second shutout of the season and the 10th of his UNH career as the Wildcats defeated Hartford 4-0 on Friday. He made two saves versus the Hawks.
Robles has a 4-0-1 record this season as his .419 goals against average is second in America East and his two shutouts are tied for second.
UNH (4-0-1, 3-0-1 America East) is ranked No. 12 in the latest United Soccer Coaches Poll which ties the highest ranking in program history in this poll as the Wildcats were also ranked No. 12 on Sept. 26, 2017. UNH will take on UMass Lowell (0-5-0, 0-3-0 America East) on Friday, April 2 at 2 PM at Wildcat Stadium on AmericaEast.TV. The Wildcats conclude the regular season at Vermont on Friday, April 9.
