Both games start at 1 p.m. and can be seen via CBS SportsLive online or app. The 2020-21 Border Battle presented by Buffalo Wild Wings begins this weekend with two women's ice hockey and two men's ice hockey games between UNH and Maine.
New Hampshire has a 42-15-8 lifetime record against Maine, which won last year's season series, 2-1-0; that includes a 3-0 win at the Whittemore Center last October. UNH has won five of the last six meetings at the Whitt. And in the past four seasons, the home team has an 8-1-3 record.

NICOLE KELLY NAMED PRO AMBITIONS ROOKIE OF THE WEEK BY HOCKEY EAST
Nicole Kelly, a freshman forward on the University of New Hampshire women's hockey team, was named the Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week by Hockey East on Monday. Kelly tallied three points, all on assists, in UNH's series split against eighth-ranked Boston University last weekend. She recorded her first career multiple-point game with two helpers in Saturday's 4-3 victory at the Whittemore Center. In that win, Kelly recorded the primary assist on each of the team's first two goals (6 minutes, 39 seconds apart in the second period) to transform a two-goal deficit into a 2-2 tie.
EARLY SEASON STATS
Through four games, UNH is averaging 2.00 goals on 24.5 shots per game while allowing 3.75 goals and 31.8 shots per game. The Wildcats power play has not scored a goal (one shorthanded goal allowed) in 12 opportunities, and the penalty kill is 8-for-10 (80%).

- Sophomore forward Tamara Thiérus has factored in six of UNH's eight goals with four goals and two assists. She leads the team in both goals and points, as well as plus/minus (+2), and ranks second with a .308 shooting percentage.
- Thiérus carries a three-game goal streak and four-game point streak into the weekend series vs. Maine.
- Freshman forward Nicole Kelly has set up half of the team's eight goals to lead UNH with four assists. Her four points ranks second, and her 13 shots is tied with Thiérus for second.
- Kelly takes a three-game assist streak into Friday's matinee.
- Brianna Brooks, another freshman forward, has a team-high 19 shots.
- Brooks has a .544 winning percentage in the faceoff circle and her 68 faceoffs is second only to Lauren Martin, who has 75 with a .493 win percentage.
- Emily Rickwood and Maddie Truax are tied for the team lead with five blocked shots.
- Thiérus, Kyla Bent and Ciara Wall are tied for the lead in plus/minus at +2.
- Redshirt junior Ava Boutilier has three starts in as many games played with a 1-2-0 record, 3.69 GAA and .887 save percentage. She made 28 saves in UNH's 4-3 victory against eighth-ranked Boston University (Saturday, Dec. 5). Boutilier recorded 29 saves and allowed four goals in both games vs. Boston College.
- Sophomore Nikki Harnett stopped 26 of 28 shots in UNH's 2-1 loss to No. 8 BU (Friday, Dec. 4). She has a 2.04 GAA and .929 save percentage.
