New Hampshire has a 10-10 overall record that includes 7-2 at home, 3-8 on the road and 3-4 in America East; that includes 1-2 in conference road games.
New Hampshire is No. 2 in the nation (350 teams, through Jan. 30) in both total rebounds per game (42.65) and defensive rebounds per game (30.95).
The Wildcats lead the America East conference in rebounding, are second in scoring defense (65.8 ppg against) and fifth in scoring offense (69.2 ppg).
UNH has a 9-3 lifetime record against UMass Lowell since the River Hawks elevated to Division I and joined America East in the 2013-14 season. The Wildcats have won 5 of 6 matchups in Lowell, including all five at the Tsongas Center. Last year, both teams successfully defended home court.
Sophomore forward Jayden Martinez recorded his sixth double-double of the season with 17 points and 11 rebounds this past Wednesday vs. Vermont. He led the team in both of those stats, and his six double-doubles tie for the lead with both Sean Sutherlin and Nick Guadarrama.
The Wildcats matched their longest winning streak of the season with their second consecutive win by defeating Binghamton University, 77-69, on the road this last Saturday. UNH's other two-game win streak was the first two games of the season.
UNH's 10 wins doubles last year's season total (five).
The 'Cats alternated wins and losses 13 consecutive games spanning Nov. 16 to Jan. 11. That streak ended Jan. 15, when the Wildcats lost their second consecutive game.
UNH has a 7-2 record following a loss. At the other end of the spectrum, the 'Cats are 2-8 following a win.
UNH is led by 15th-year head coach Bill Herrion; his 182 wins at the helm ranks second in program history to Gerry Friel's 185.
