Football Radio Announcer McIsaac Repeats as N.H. Sportscaster of Year

Wildcat Sports Network color commentator to be honored in Winston-Salem, N.C.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Justin McIsaac, radio color commentator for University of New Hampshire football on the Wildcat Sports Radio Network, has been named the 2019 New Hampshire Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sports Media Association (NSMA). This marks the second straight honor and second career award for the native of Rochester, N.H.
In 2019, McIsaac completed his third season working alongside Bob Lipman, a six-time N.H. Sportscaster of the Year, on the UNH football radio broadcast team for Wildcat Sports Properties on iHeart Radio stations WGIR 610 AM (Manchester), WQSO 96.7 FM (Portsmouth) and Fox Sports Radio 930 AM (Rochester).

"Our football broadcasts are unique because of the passion and insight that Justin brings each game, and we are so glad that he's a Wildcat," said Jenna Raizes, general manager of Wildcat Sports Properties, multimedia rightsholder for UNH Athletics and local Learfield IMG College team.
"It is a great honor to be recognized by my peers and the NSMA as the New Hampshire sportscaster of the year, and an even bigger honor to be a multiple time winner alongside UNH greats like Jim Jeannotte, Bob Lipman, Mike Murphy, and Jock MacKenzie," said McIsaac. "I'm thankful for everyone that has made this possible, especially Renee, Cameron, and Keeley McIsaac."
McIsaac will be honored during the 61stannual NSMA awards banquet June 29 in Winston-Salem, N.C., along with Mike Zhe of the Portsmouth Herald, who has been named New Hampshire Sportswriter of the Year for the second time in his career.
McIsaac, the producer of the "New Hampshire Today with Jack Heath" radio program, is a play-by-play announcer for a variety of college programs throughout New Hampshire and Maine in addition to serving as an announcer and weekly contributor to NHSportspage.com, a website devoted to high school basketball and football. He started the online "McIsaac On Sports Network" in 2015 and previously was the sports director at WTSN radio in Dover, N.H. Prior to his broadcast career, McIsaac was a professional wrestler, performing in rings up and down the east coast as Justin Shaype.
Dan Patrick, Tom Verducciand Michael Wilbon will each be inducted into the NSMA Hall of Fame along with posthumous inductees Skip Caray, Cawood Ledford and Dick Young. National sportscaster of the year Kevin Harlan and national sportswriter of the year Adrian Wojnarowski headline 110 state sportscasters and sportswriters from 49 states, plus Washington D.C., that will be honored.
