Alejandro Robles Named AE Defensive Player of the Week

Robles posted a shutout in his UNH debut.
BOSTON – Graduate student goalkeeper Alejandro Robles (Monterey, Mexico), of the University of New Hampshire men's soccer team, has been named the America East Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in the 1-0 season-opening win versus Boston University at Wildcat Stadium on Aug. 29.
Robles recorded a shutout in his debut with the Wildcats. He made two saves to post his first win at UNH.
UNH is 2-0-0 on the season which also includes a 2-1 road victory versus Providence on Sept. 2.
The Wildcats will travel to Hamilton, N.Y., to take on Colgate on Friday, Sept. 6 at 5 p.m. The game is a rematch of the 2018 NCAA First Round game that the Raiders won 1-0 at Wildcat Stadium. You can watch live on the Patriot League Network. UNH will then play at Syracuse (Sept. 8) and at Fairfield (Sept. 14). UNH returns to Wildcat Stadium on Wed. Sept. 18 for a Granite State match up with Dartmouth at 7 p.m. on ESPN+.
