Men’s and Women’s XC Ranked in Northeast Region

New USTFCCCA polls have both UNH squads in the top 15.
NEW ORLEANS – The University of New Hampshire men's and women's cross country teams both landed in the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) northeast regional rankings this week after a stellar outcome at the Coast to Coast Invitational in Jamaica Plain, Mass.
The women's cross country team has moved up from 13th in the Northeast Region to #11 in the latest polls. This comes after a 10th place team finish in the stacked Coast to Coast Battle in Beantown this past weekend. The Wildcats started the season ranked #15 in the region in the preseason poll. UNH currently sits as the highest ranked America East team in the Northeast Region, followed by Vermont in 13th.
The men's cross country team moves into the Northeast Region top 15 for the first time since the 2015 season. After a 15th place team finish at the Coast to Coast Invitational, the Wildcats are ranked #13 in the Northeast region. They are one of the four America East schools in the top 15, with Stony Brook at #4, UMass Lowell at #8, and Vermont at #15.
Both New Hampshire cross country teams are off this weekend before they head to Lehigh next Saturday, October 5th for the annual Paul Short Invitational.
