QUICK HITTERS
The biggest news out of Durham prior to UNH's first game of the season was the announcement that 21st-year head coach Sean McDonnell took an indefinite leave of absence for health-related reasons on Aug. 26.

Ricky Santos, who rejoined the UNH staff in March as associate head coach and quarterbacks coach, was named interim head coach Aug. 26. Santos spent the past three seasons (2016-18) as the QB coach at Columbia University. From 2013-15, Santos coached UNH's wide receivers.

Saturday's game will be the first meeting between the New Hampshire and Duquesne football programs.

Freshman quarterback Max Brosmer was named CAA Football Rookie of the Week on Monday. Brosmer threw two touchdown passes, ran for a TD and led UNH on a 7-play, 60-yard drive that culminated with Jason Hughes' game-winning 29-yard field goal as time expired to lift the Wildcats to a 27-24 victory against URI at Wildcat Stadium on Sept. 21.

New Hampshire has a 14-5 lifetime record at Wildcat Stadium (opened in the 2016 season) and that includes 5-1 against non-conference opponents. The only non-conference team to leave Wildcat Stadium with a win is Colgate (10-3; Sept. 8, 2018).

Since 2008, UNH has a 56-10 home record (.848 win percentage) that includes 18-3 (.857) vs. non-CAA teams.

Since 1999 (start of head coach Sean McDonnell's tenure), UNH has a 9-0 record against teams from the NEC.

UNH's offense recorded season highs in rushing yards (229) and yards per rush (6.5), as well as total offense (413 yards) and yards per play (7.1) in the Sept. 21 win vs. Rhode Island. The 27 points also marked a season high.

It took freshman QB Max Brosmer just two plays in his home debut to break a Wildcat Stadium record when he connected with senior wide receiver Malik Love for a 78-yard touchdown against URI.

Senior running back Evan Gray had a career-long run of 81 yards against URI, and he recorded his first career 100-yard rushing game with 123 yards on seven carries.

Senior cornerback Prince Smith, Jr. recorded double-digit tackles for the first time in his career with a game-high 13 (8-5-13) against URI.
