Gogolin Earns First Weekly Honor

Gogolin’s first career weekly accolade is UNH’s fifth on the season.
DURHAM, N.H. - Freshman forward Ivy Gogolin (Hopkinton, Mass.) of the University of New Hampshire women's basketball team has been named America East Rookie of the Week for her performance against Hartford University on February 20, 2019.
Gogolin led the team with a season high 23 points while making 10 out of 14 field goal attempts in the 49-56 loss to Hartford. In addition to her scoring, she also posted 5 rebounds, 2 steals and only 1 turnover in 37 minutes of play.
This is Gogolin's first Rookie of the Week award, and UNH's fifth total weekly award this season; all five were Rookie of the Week winners. Gogolin becomes the third different Wildcat to win rookie of the weke honors, joining Kali Grimm (Norwood Young America, Minn.), and three time rookie of the week Kari Brekke (Appleton, Wisc.).
On the season, she has started 13 out of 27 games this season, while averaging 6.5 points and 4.4 rebounds per game on 21.6 minutes of play.
The Wildcats look to break their 3 game losing streak against University at Albany on Wednesday at the Lundholm Gymnasium.
